The other changes recently requested (32-bit kernel priorities, using a distinct routing table for the default route) should hit the repository soon. Enjoy, -- Juliusz 1 October 2015: babeld-1.6.3 * Changed the handling of kernel configuration and added the skip-kernel-setup option. Thanks to Toke H?iland-J?rgensen. * Added the option "router-id" and removed the flag "-R". This is an incompatible change. Excellent, thanks for the info. Exam session is almost over, I'll try to gather the energy to do some Babel hacking. -- Juliusz From jch at pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr Fri Oct 30 19:09:44 2015 From: jch at pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr (Juliusz Chroboczek) Date: Fri, 30 Oct 2015 20:09:44 +0100 Subject: [Babel-users] IS-IS with dynamically computed metrics vs. Babel Message-ID: <87vb9odvgn.wl-jch@pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr> Hi, A few months ago, some IS-IS folks (Christian Franke, I believe, perhaps in collaboration with David Lamparter) have implemented dynamically computed metrics for wireless links in IS-IS. Unlike Babel, they don't measure multicast packet, but try to intuit a metric out of physical layer information. Mikael Abrahamsson has done some preliminary testing comparing IS-IS and Babel in an uncongested wireless network; his writeup is here: http://mid.gmane.org/alpine.DEB.2.02.1510161434010.16053 at uplift.swm.pp.se My reply is here: http://mid.gmane.org/87k2q5kd99.wl-jch at pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr -- Juliusz From jch at pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr Sat Oct 31 03:19:38 2015 From: jch at pps.univ-paris-diderot.fr (Juliusz Chroboczek) Date: Sat, 31 Oct 2015 04:19:38 +0100 Subject: [Babel-users] [PATCH 1/2] Fix "-T" manpage description. (And yes, I still believe you did it wrong by putting disambiguation at this level.) Applying the filter should happen in route.c, and kernel_route should take the table number as a parameter. -- Juliusz
