Summary: repository cannot be cloned due to non-portable file names
Distribution: --Distribution-Agnostic--

Original bug number:
Initial Comment:
The bash-completion.git repository currently contains non-portable filenames:
test/fixtures/_known_hosts_real/known*hosts
test/fixtures/_known_hosts_real/known*hosts2
test/fixtures/_known_hosts_real/star*conf
As a result, it cannot be cloned to file systems that don't support * (such as FAT), and makes testing on cygwin awkward (it requires a managed mount to bypass windows filename restrictions).
