One "problem" is the changelog for this 1.2. Not everybody updated the CHANGES
file with every commit/change, so I don't think we can assume it's a
comprehensive list of the changes.
We can:
1. keep the CHANGES manually-edited, keeping an eye on it on every commit
2. using some "git-log to changelog" script (I tried a couple, and all make a
GNU-style ChangeLog, with _all_commits from 2000 up to now. So we would
need some manual edit, or some wrapper script around it)
3. something else (propose :))
I hope to be able to release 1.2 later today, but I believe that the changelog
is kind-of-essential for a release (and for the announcement I should write)
Have a nice Sunday,
David
