[Bash-completion-devel] Bug#671132: bash-completion: cd completion offers to cd into vcs dirs like .svn / .git

Package: bash-completion
Version: 1:1.99-3
Severity: normal

When doing tab completion for cd to a directory that only has .svn
or .git directories in it, no other dirs, bash-completion pops up
the .svh or .git dir. I would suggest these dirs not be considered
unless the last character in the pre-completion command-line is a
period/dot. This would still allow to enter those dirs using completion
but to never accidentally offer them as completion solutions thus never
letting the user accidentally cd into them. VCS dirs rarely need to be
looked inside of so this should not affect many people.
