Kernel: 2.6.12.3<BR>

I can’t get DEVFS_FS to build something is broken in the 2.6.12.3 kernel<BR>
<BR>
I would like to do a tmpfs. I tried by downloading 2.41 and patching.<BR>
<BR>
I get an error can’t find hdc for the root device. I see /dev/hdc as the kernel come up<BR>
<BR>
I tried bootcd 2.48 but I got the error:<BR>
Mount unknown filesystem type devfs<BR>
devfs: not mounted<BR>
Pivot_root: no such file or directory<BR>
/sbin/init: 432: cannot open dev/console: no such file<BR>
Kernel panic – not syncing: Attempted to kill init?<BR>
<BR>
I am having to burn each time to test. I can’t find the source for qemu for Debian. <BR>
<BR>
Any help would be appreciated.<BR>
