Many thanks, I've applied the patch and I'll push it later on today.

You have better judgement than me about the other parts of the code not
needing to use dpkg-architecture, so I'm quite happy that this patch is
sufficient.  If it turns out there's a bit missing, it's easy to add
support when we find it.
