[Da-tools-discuss] Some ud-ldap patches

Hello all,

I'm considering committing the two attached patches to the ud-ldap tree.
As python isn't my strongest language, and these change some behavior,
I'd like to ask for comments first, particularly about the retired
accounts patch.  One part that I was unsure about was the part where we
generate the -private subscription - will culling accounts from that
break anything?
