At least, "apt-rdepends -r " does not show dependencies for 
libplplot-ada1 and libplplot-d. Therefore, I would support removing them 
until there is a fix for them.

There are quite a few packages directly or indirectly depending on 
plplot, so it would be worth to make compromises to get it working again.
