I do not arrogate to myself the power to unilaterally decide the
correct Section value, so it's not my place to submit the override
request.

That must be done only when the package maintainer has decided what is
correct. The maintainer can decide a Section that is different from
what I suggested, and so a pre-emptive override request would be even
more annoying to the maintainer.

So, that's why I request a maintainer should do that unilateral
action.

I think we can both look forward to a time when a change to
‘debian/control’ is enough to change the metadata of the package.
Until that happy day, multiple changes must be coordinated.
