Package: saods9
Version: 7.5+repack1-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Steps to reproduce bug
----------------------

1) start ds9
2) Launch "Virtual Obervatory" using "Analysis" menu
3) Connect to Rutgers MOOC server using internal browser.
Choose any mode of connection - web proxy (preferred) or direct.
4) Select an object in the browser window (say Obs ID 117)
5) Ensure "region" option is selected in the "Edit" menu.
6) Click on object and drag to select a region over the displayed object
7) Select "Quick Energy Spectra" from the Chandra Ed tools in
   the Analysis menu

Expected output
---------------

A graph showing the energy spectra should be shown.

Actual output
-------------

Only a blank graph is shown.

NOTE
----
Downloading a prebuilt version 7.5 of ds9 for Ubuntu 16, from
the official web site and trying out the above steps works
as expected and does not show this bug. This bug may be
related to Debian packaging rather than an upstream issue.
