running d-e-gitcreate also resulted in an error for me, but I've closed the window which displayed it

  $ git clone git://git.debian.org/debian-edu/d-e-gitscripts.git ~/d-e-gitscripts
  $ ln -s ~/d-e-gitscripts/bin/d-e-gitcreate ~/bin
