[Debian-eeepc-devel] boot halts when SD card is inside slot

A few comments on the suggestions so far.

I am running lenny with kernel 2.6.25. My BIOS is updated, or at least was
last time I checked ;-) My BIOS is version 0900 or something. I had the same
issues with naming conventions when upgrading the bios. In my case it was
not sufficient to use fat16, I had to mount the filesystem as msdos, not
vfat, when copying the bios file.

I have fsck'ed -f the card, and the filesystem is fine.

The problem seems to be related to large cards, indeed. I have no such
problem when using a 2Gb SD on the same situations.

I must correct a misinformation I gave in a previous email. When the card is
inside, the boot procedure halts after udev starts, not hal.

regards,

Pedro
