[Debian-eeepc-devel] eee 900. Major boot speedup with new bios (0906)

There is a new bios out for the eee 900, version 0906. I have noticed 
that the time it now takes from leaving the blue asus bios screen to 
grub start is now only 1 sec, with the old bios it was 20 seconds.

If you haven't noticed the slow grub stuff, then have a look at this 
video, http://people.skolelinux.no/klaus/slow.grub.eee.0802.mov
notic how it takes 12-13 seconds from you first see the line "grub 
loading stage 1.5" until you get the whole grub menu.


With the new bios, this is instant.
