Maybe not related, I got myself an MSI Wind clone (Medion akoya E1210)
instead of the 901 that I wanted, it has a RaLink Device 0781 WiFi built in
and I am using the rt2860sta driver with it. I've had a hard time configuring
that device, especially with Network-Manager as you have to bring the device
up before you can pass it any SSID or encryption keys. I never managed to
give it both parameters at the same time. Until I found RutilT which somehow
manages to pass all parameters to the card, it just works! The only drawback
I see so far is that you have to use DHCP, it does not allow to configure a
static IP (yet...).
