Hi Rémi

i have a eeePC 900 and i was able to use it in Ad-Hoc mode.

first a want to say that i dont talk a lot of english.
second i am not an expert. The eeePC wifi adapter was my first contact
with this technology, so double check everything i wrote here :D

The "iwconfig ath0 mode ad-hoc" command does not work for the Atheros driver.
i found on some pages a procedure like this:

wlanconfig ath0 destroy
wlanconfig ath0 create wlandev wifi0 wlanmode adhoc

that should be enough to set up the ath0 iface in ad-hoc mode.
iwconfig ath0

i use this guide for everything else
http://wiki.debian.org/WiFi#head-449fb8718e52dfcf384b91234fcba1d830339857

i hope this helps you

best regards
