Hi Michael,

These are the patches from the author of elantech driver. It pending in
my todo list for a long time due to I don't have the hardware to test it. :(

Perhaps you could patch and test it. Hope it works for you.

Is there any reason we can't merge this driver for the next Kernel release?
I
cleaned up the patch to have zero errors when ran through checkpatch.pl. See
attached. It is compile tested only.  

Andrew- perhaps you could patch and test and Kernel and see if it still
works
for you? I do not believe my 701 has this device.

Tom- What do you think? If you give me your Signed-off-by we can have Greg
put
it into his staging tree. Then we can see about getting the X.org guys to
take
your driver. 

BTW, do you plan to attend FreedomHEC? Could you please give a talk on the
input layer of the Kernel and X?  http://seminar.oss.org.tw/fhec/index.html
