I only have bidiui installed, no idea about other things that are needed.

I believe that in Firefox Lior convinced the maintainer to have bidi mode on by default, maybe it's worth researching if something like that is sufficient for TB.

There is no problem with packaging from CVS, the package version usually marks the date of checkout as in 0.0.20060801-1

It appears they don't have source tarballs, or even CVS tags on releases.

I've opened http://mozdev.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=14797 to draw their attention to it. I'll see whether I can continue with the packaging using the CVS repository.
