Do you have any packages in mind that work with older fribidi but not 0.19? 
All I've heard so far is that people are happy that their applications start 
supporting Arabic as soon as they upgrade to fribidi 0.19.  Renaming the 
soname definitely negates all the effort.  I understand that 0.19 removes some 
older API, but I don't know any packages using those old API.  We simply 
pushed 0.19 in Fedora and no one complained.
