This should be fixed now. I've pushed updates to the experimental branch.

I've also fixed the problem with the assigning of two IP addresses per
machine, which I think you also mentioned in your review. I think these
were the only issues introduced by my patch.

I'm planning to do some more work on the code base and might post some
more patches or get back in touch again soon.
