I can handle spam, I don't mind hitting 'd' when offered viagra, penis-
elongation, russian brides or millions of dollars. It's annoying, but
innocent. Damn, I can even handle Debian flame-wars ;-)

This stuff is not just spam. Debian is an international, peaceful and
tolerant grass-root effort, and should not be involved in propagating
this filth. It is hurtful and ugly, directed against the integrity of
many of Debian's contributors and users. We can't afford to be seen as
indifferent to this pollution of our community's channels of
communication.

It would not help moderating this list, because the sludge is directed
against many or all (?) of Debians mailing lists. We are a community
of software developers, it *must* be possible centrally to block
people who are submitting this type of hateful propaganda.

I know this is not exactly the right ML to get this issue resolved,
but am looking advice and support in how to deal with it.

Cheers,
Morten
