I really object the above justification, however,

Point taken. I propose to remove the package on all architectures except amd64
and i386 until the problem is fixed upstream.

I expect that people who start to support this package on architectures where
it is not supported upstream are commiting themselves on the long term. I am
not interested in doing so myself, as I never had a user request for this.
