To be honest, I wasn't planning to install it at all; I have merely been
conducting a personal QA project of investigating bugs that result in
binary packages showing up in unstable on amd64 but not i386 or vice
versa.

That said, I do also belong to debian-med (as ncbi-tools6's primary
maintainer), and can look into issuing a team bug-fix upload; thanks for
the go-ahead!
