Dear Salvatore, dear Perl Team!

Thank you for adding us to the group.

On your policy page [1] you list 'Vcs-Svn' as an option, but elsewhere there is only git mentioned. I see there is a long list of packages in
SVN at svn://svn.debian.org/pkg-perl/trunk . I am practically not familiar with git, I use svn regularly.

* Is it OK to use subversion, then, or does the team encourage new members to use git?

- ---

We (me and Shen) have two new, unreleased Perl modules in the Debian Med svn repo:

+ Math::Vector::Real and                svn://svn.debian.org/svn/debian-med/trunk/packages/libmath-vector-real-perl

+ Math::Vector::Real::kdTree            svn://svn.debian.org/svn/debian-med/trunk/packages/libmath-vector-real-kdtree-perl
  (build-depends (because of tests) on Math::Vector::Real)

These both are ready for upload.

* Should we move these to the Perl team repository?

* Could the Debian Perl team sponsor these packages (please do)? The Maintainer: field in debian/control is "Debian Med Packaging Team" right
now. If/when you sponsor the packages, please change this to "Debian Perl Group <pkg-perl-maintainers at lists.alioth.debian.org>". We are going to
put future Perl packages into the Perl Team repository, of course.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,

Laszlo
