No, this is a packaging issue: VTK is built with TIFF 3 (libtiff4-dev)
while ITK needs TIFF 4 (libtiff5-dev).  These two packages conflict.
I expect that eventually VTK will be rebuilt against TIFF 4 and the
problem will go away.
