Please provide the /var/log/dpkg*, /var/log/apt/* and /var/log/aptitude* 
files.

It might be relevant to know exactly which versions of which packages 
was installed and then upgraded, and in what order. Especially since 
Squeeze is a moving target so it is extra difficult to accidentally 
replay.

When you say on the "real" one you mean the one that broke, right?

Which packages did you install extra?
