As of a couple of days ago, this builds, it runs with python 2.6 (at
least it loads the GEOM module successfully), and it closes a bunch of
bugs.

Now that it builds and fixes its bugs, I propose uploading it as it is
in alioth now. I am also working on binary reorganization, but would
like to get this into unstable as a working package, and work on the
reorg with you both while the package (hopefully) gets into testing. I
think reorganization will be a big change, and will have to go through
the NEW queue, so it's probably best to close the bugs first.

What do you think? I will not do anything until Monday mid-day here (6
PM in France), and will upload if I haven't heard from you by then.
Then -11 can address any new bugs and do the reorganization.

Regards,
Adam
