Package: petsc
Version: 3.1
Severity: normal

Hi Adam,
trying to package getdp on i386. I end up with lintian errors (binary-or-shlib-
defines-rpath).
It turns out that the PETSC_KSP_LIB variable coming from petsc is responsible
for these errors.
Indeed it is defined as:

${C_SH_LIB_PATH} -L${PETSC_LIB_DIR} ${PETSC_KSP_LIB_BASIC}
${PETSC_EXTERNAL_LIB_BASIC}

and C_SH_LIB_PATH and PETSC_EXTERNAL_LIB_BASIC contain "-Wl,--rpath"...

This issue is only valid for i386 to my knowledge.
