Package: scilab
Version: 5.2.2-4
Severity: important
User: ubuntu-devel at lists.ubuntu.com
Usertags: origin-ubuntu maverick ubuntu-patch

when the kernel is built for armv6 or newer, the package fails to build.

Patch at
http://launchpadlibrarian.net/55431748/scilab_5.2.2-4_5.2.2-4ubuntu1.diff.gz

The patch may be incomplete, because sivp now fails to build with:

make[1]: Entering directory `/build/buildd/sivp-0.5.2'
make[1]: Nothing to be done for `update-config'.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/build/buildd/sivp-0.5.2'

Could not find the Java configuration for the model <armv7l>. Please contact us.

Could not load JVM dynamic library (libjava).
Error: libjvm.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
If you are using a binary version of Scilab, please report a bug
http://bugzilla.scilab.org/.
If you are using a self-built version of Scilab, update the script bin/scilab to
provide the path to the JVM.
The problem might be related to SELinux. Try to deactivate it.

Scilab cannot open JVM library.
make: *** [build/scilab-sivp] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: error: debian/rules build gave error exit status 2

However the error message seems to be from scilab.
