[xml/sgml] Buildd failure for docbook2x

Buildd of docbook2x on ia64 failed in a strange way.  From the buildd log
(see http://buildd.debian.org/build.php?&pkg=docbook2x):

Notice that the "I/O error" messages above also appear when the package
builds correctly on other architectures.

Any hints?
