Hi, and sorry for the late reply.

As it won't make etch, we got time to negotiate with the author now I
guess.

non-free in its current form, but the author was open to discussion some
time (ahem, years) ago. Independent of debichem, a person in our
research group was asking for gopenmol, so I was going to get in contact
with him anyway.

Maybe we should start a "unofficial" or something branch in debichem svn
where we can put debian/ dirs for not-really-free stuff, like gopenmol,
molden and others.

Suggestions for better naming welcome :)

Ah, ok. Maybe we can ask them to take this over. I was always
interested in this, but until recently couldn't get a statement WRT free
java from them. I don't have any experience with java packages, but we
should care about them IMHO.

I had a list of some other potential packages lying around, but I can
find it now. This is post-etch/feisty stuff anyway, at this point, I am
quite certaing notheing will get through NEW in time to make etch.

cheers,

Michael
