But the list is not a maintainer, that can actively care about the
package. My question is: Who will care about the package? Or more
precise: Will you care about the package when bugs occur? We shouldn't
upload packages just to have them. This is common and bad practice in
Ubuntu - e.g. easychem was one of the examples - once uploaded, never
maintained. IMHO uploading a package should always require, that a
person actively maintains the package. I'm currently not very interested
in the package, so I personally cannot give it the love it may need.
That's the reason why I ask.

I'm also not a DD. Maintaining the package doesn't require to be a DD.
