=46rom where should the debram(1) man page tell a
user to download future data updates?

You need not know all about debram to advise me
in this, so please do not hesitate to speak.
Although it is for debram that I seek the
advice, the question is not so much a debram
question as a general Debian question.

Normally the user would just download and
install an updated debram-data package, but
Giacomo rightly notes that some sarge stable
users may just want the updated data file alone,
to keep in their home directories or perhaps
in /usr/local/share/; they may not want actually
to upgrade their packages. I understand
Giacomo's point and agree with it. In fact, the
debram(1) executable already supports such
usage, but its documentation does not presently
tell the user where to get the updated data.

=46rom where shall a user get a data update?
Options:

  (a) From my own web site. However, tying
stable Debian usage to a personal web site
seems poor policy in principle. What if I
were hit by a truck? The man page would
stay in circulation but the web site would
      disappear.

  (b) From the files area on alioth. However,
this seems abusive of alioth, which is a
rally point for development not a download
      mirror.

  (c) From the mirrors in the form of the
      debram-data source package. The user
would unpack the source, get the data
file `debram.txt', and put the latter
wherever he wanted it. However, debram(1)
is a simple program usable by novices, for
whom such a procedure seems too complex.

  (d) From some other place I have not thought
of yet. Maybe you can think of it.

I seek a simple, straightforward solution if
possible. Please advise.
