+mhWaveEdit is a graphical program for editing sound files. It is
+intended to be user-friendly and robust. It does not require a fast
+computer.

+It can load, play, record and saves wav-files.  Moreover all the formats supported by
+libsndfile are supported as well.
+
+Ogg and MP3 import/export through OggDec/OggEnc and Lame (if available). A variety of other
+formats can be imported through mplayer (if available).
