Bug#775526: /usr/bin/uscan: passing --compression=xz ignored

I've tried passing the --compression=xz option to uscan, but it
doesn't appear to pass that on to mk-origtgz.

With the u-boot watch file:

  version=3

  opts=repacksuffix=+dfsg1,uversionmangle=s/-rc/~rc/g,dversionmangle=s/\+dfsg.*//g \
  http://ftp.denx.de/pub/u-boot/ u-boot-([\d\.].*)\.tar\.bz2

Running uscan:

  uscan --compression=xz
  u-boot: Newer version (2015.01) available on remote site:
    http://ftp.denx.de/pub/u-boot/u-boot-2015.01.tar.bz2
      (local version is 2014.10+dfsg1, mangled local version number 2014.10)
      No files matched excluded pattern: board/dave/PPChameleonEVB/fpgadata.c
      Successfully downloaded updated package u-boot-2015.01.tar.bz2
      Successfully repacked ../u-boot-2015.01.tar.bz2 as ../u-boot_2015.01+dfsg1.orig.tar.bz2, deleting 17 files from it.

It simply repacks the tarball as bz2 file. I've also tried with
"--compression xz" with no change.


If that gets fixed, it would also be very nice to be able to pass that
via opts=compression=xz in debian/watch.
