Bug#838185: chdist: Mute some Perl warnings

Dear Maintainer,

the chdist program emits several "Use of uninitialized value"
warnings. Please consider the patch attached to mute those I triggered
easily and pretty often.

Don't be concerned about the patch offsets, this is supposed to be on
top of the other patch I just sent.
