If you have gpg2 (modern) installed, dput probably won't work since gpg2 introduces a new key storage location. An easy workaround is to make a copy of dput and edit the path in the script. It would be great if the gpg path could be a setting in dput.cf, much as it's possible to change the gpg path in .devscripts. It's annoying to have to keep both keyrings in sync manually. I suggest this bug should have a higher importance since the classic dput is broken with gnupg2 too: https://bugs.debian.org/82696 Thanks, Jeremy Bicha From 1450287 at bugs.launchpad.net Fri Jun 24 00:26:41 2016 From: 1450287 at bugs.launchpad.net (Bug Watch Updater) Date: Fri, 24 Jun 2016 00:26:41 -0000 Subject: [dput-ng-maint] [Bug 1450287] Re: dput hard-codes path to gpg binary References: <20150430031942.16887.68751.malonedeb@gac.canonical.com> Message-ID: <20160624002642.28321.73705.launchpad@loganberry.canonical.com> ** Changed in: dput-ng (Debian) Status: Unknown => New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of dput-ng Maintainers, which is subscribed to dput-ng in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1450287 Title: dput hard-codes path to gpg binary Status in dput package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Status in dput-ng package in Ubuntu: New Status in dput package in Debian: New Status in dput-ng package in Debian: New Bug description: dput only uses /usr/bin/gpg to check signatures.
