I'm not sure this is a ThinkFinger bug: I can reproduce it on my sid
with xdm_1:1.1.6-4, but not with login_1:4.1.0-2 nor gdm_2.20.3-2.

Since I'm going to install a KDE system to check bug #466322 [1], I'll
report back the situation with kdm.
