Some questions:

1) are you aware of the Debian FingerForce Team?  Any
   fingerprint-related packaging should be done there...

2) given that fingerprint-gui depends on fprint, how this integrates
   with the fprint status in Debian, especially #599188?

There is a typo: s/readeers/readers/ .

IIRC GNOME provides a module integrated with the 'account' preferences,
how does fingerprint-gui integrate with this?
