libpam-fprint will go away soon since it has been replaced by
libpam-fprintd.  I thus just tested the latter WRT XDM.

Still true.

This is no more true, given that there is the message "Failed to match
fingerprint".

Another improvement is that if no fingerprint is tried after around 10
seconds of inactivity the 'Password' prompt is shown.
