I have heard this as well.

Our contact at SFLC is in the process if contacting the manufacturer
to learn more about availability.

One of our discussion points has been "which hardware?"...
and while the Sheeva/Guru Plug has a combination of nice features,
form factor and price it certainly isn't the only solution.

And, in fact, the bulk of the work we have to do is in
architecture and software implementation (which ought
to be machine independent).  My sense is we should pick
a likely hardware target (probably based on ARM) and then
spend our efforts with virtualized qemu-kvm.
