[Freedombox-discuss] NAS or little-space-sheevaplug, the HD question

Hi list,

I was wondering about something : how much disk space would *your*
FreedomBox have ?

Does it make sense to you to separate the NAS functionnality (ftp, daap,
smb, bittorrent, etc) from the smaller-footprint stuff (identity, jabber,
microblog, bookmarks, sync etc) ?

I feel that a sheevaplug is not really made to have a big hard drive
attached to it. Does anyone have an (good) experience with long term use of
a USB drive on that kind of setup ? or eSata ? What about the limits of an
SD card on which you should avoid too many writes ? How does that affect the
choice of hardware ?

Thanks for your input.

Arthur
