Would it be sensible that I write as detailed each time someone joins 
the list and asks?  What I did this time around was point to the general 
web page at Debian, assuming curious readers like yourself would then go 
explore if not only interested in doing as instructed but alos 
understand what it meant.

Try continue anyway.


Beware that Ubuntu is not Debian.  It might behave slightly different 
than a Debian system at various places - I cannot tell you where, as I 
don't know: I use The Real Thing(tm).
