This was my concern too. You are right, high-power PSU's are generally
more efficient with higher loads. Things are not that bad tough as you
can see from my results with a 400W PSU. The website of the manufacturer
mentions the following efficiencies:

20% load  - 89.8%
50% load  - 92.9%
100% load - 91.9%
