As far as I've understood it when showing up at various Chaos
Computer Club events, recordings of talks and various happenings
which takes place has been handled by a bunch of volunteers from
"Fe-M" (Forschungsgemeinschaft elektronische Medien e.V) - which I
have gotten the image of being a university, a schooling institute
with the aim on media or something similar.<br>

In the FreedomBox project[0] we are interested in editing one of
your

video talks. I'm particularly talking about the lightning talks
day 2 in

this latest CCC edition (27c3) [1].

The video is available here [2].

The problem that we face is that you have released this video with
the
<br>
CC by-NC-ND restrictive license, which doesn't allow us to do
this.
<br>
What we are asking permissions for and what we exactly want to do
is:

1) Cut the video to have just the FreedomBox talk (6 minutes)
<br>
2) Edit it adding the beginning and ending of the original video
(remix).
<br>
3) Transcribe and translate it to other languages (well, it
wouldn't be
<br>
a problem in the beginning because we would make subtitles, not
rendered
<br>
directly into the video)
<br>
4) Release the result (under a more appropriate license like
CC-by-SA)
<br>
with the rest of related videos [3].
<br>

We hope that you understand that it's important for us these
permissions.
