[Git-dpm-user] Repackaging roundup

Hello,

I'm trying to move the packaging of roundup to git-dpm, but I do not
seem to get the results I think I should (get).

When I import the last released version of roundup (1.4.20-1.1) into
git-dpm, either by hand or by using "git-dpm import-dsc", the master
branch contains changes that (afaik) shouldn't yet be done.

The steps I took (after apt-get source --download roundup, from wheezy):

> git init roundup
> cd roundup
> git-dpm import-dsc --ptc ../roundup_1.4.20-1.1.dsc

All seems okay, but when I run this command:

> dpkg-buildpackage -S

dpkg-source gives me warnings about removed files:

dpkg-source: warning: diff roundup/debian/patches/00_licensefiles.patch
removes a non-existing file roundup/COPYING.txt (line 3)
dpkg-source: warning: diff roundup/debian/patches/00_licensefiles.patch
removes a non-existing file roundup/doc/license.txt (line 112)

And alas, if I check the repo, those 2 files are gone in the master branch.

Now, my questions,

Is the master branch in a pre-applied stage? Or in an applied stage?
Am I hitting a bug, are the warnings harmless?

Thanks in advance,

Kai Storbeck
