Besides maintaining compatibility with traditional terminal widths, which
are still in some use, (I imagine this is especially true among the folks
that work to keep gopher alive), I find limiting text widths to 80 columns
or less to be more aesthetically pleasing. It makes for a much nicer user
experience to not have to read all the way across a wide screen, IMHO.

However, it is your server, so you can do what you like.
