having a go at my proposal:

15:05 < madduck> enrico: what do you say to a change in guessnet... instead of 
                 taking the first test that returns successful, it waits for 
                 $TIMEOUT seconds, then selects one of the successful ones, and 
                 we introduce a priority value defaulting to 0 (low) to help 
                 make that decision?
