Readahead concurrently with udev coldplug?

I have noticed in my lenny laptop that readahead runs BEFORE udev coldplug,
stalling for a few seconds on disk reads.

Could we do both concurrently, or break it in two (udev readahead; udev
coldplug + normal readahead)?
