Hi,

I recently got logcheck mails looking like this:

| Unusual System Events
| =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
| Binary file /var/tmp/logcheck.XXLA9tQf/check.280 matches

... which is why I'd suggest using grep's -a option.

Cya, Florian

well logcheck in woody is pretty old and has been reworked
a lot since, logcheck 1.2.25 of sid or 1.2.24 in sarge
contain a --text switch for egrep.
therefor closing this bug, thanks for reporting it.
