[Logcheck-devel] Bug#255932: logcheck: News file is not displayed on upgrade

Package: logcheck
Version: 1.2.22a
Severity: minor

Using apt-get in conjunction with apt-listchanges I did not see the
NEWS.Debian file displayed when I upgraded. The file is present in
the /usr/share/doc directory.

I ran into this problem with one other package, and in that case the
cause was that the NEWS file was not formatted properly. I think it
needs to have the same format as the changelog, though you shouldn't
take my word for it!

It's not too big a deal, but it would be nice to make the NEWS more
visible to people during the upgrade. My guess is many people don't
look at the changelogs at all, and so wouldn't catch the reference at
the moment.

By the way, the number of bugs you have fixed recently is fantastic.
Keep up the good work!
